Based on a personal experience, an error message on my Eset Antivirus and security program: undocumented serious error (0x1106). This resulted in Eset Smart Security not being able to update Virus Definition.
This incident never happened before. After we were traced, it turns out this started from the existence of other anti virus and security programs that we installed. While Eset Smart Security is still installed and running on the computer. So on a computer running 2 antivirus programs that one of them is Eset Smart Security.
From our analysis, we conclude that Eset Smart Security can not update and appears error messages: (update 0x1106) because there are two anti-virus on one computer and Eset Smart Can not update virus definition database.
The above incident can be happen both on Eset Smart Security and others Eset Smart NOD32 Antivirus products.
How to solve undocumented serious error (0x1106)
Here is how to solve Error can not update Antivirus definition on Eset NOD Antivirus and Eset Smart Security. Follow these steps:
- Uninstall other antivirus programs that are running
- Once uninstall Antivirus is complete
- Reopen Eset NOD Antivirus or Eset Smart Security
- Perform the update command manually
Antivirus is an absolute matter for computer security from virus attacks. However, this antivirus needs to be updated every day to have a virus definition update so it can prevent the entry of new viruses into the computer.
